Our Kindergarten readiness program exists to nurture young children as image bearers of God. We aim to foster a love of discovery, trying, and exploring new ideas. We are committed to helping all children see their potential by engaging them through learning that will allow them to grow, develop academically, the God who made them, and the world around them. We aim to guide children to express their thoughts and feelings in a healthy, positive way.

Curriculum

Our Kindergarten readiness program is for students 4yrs old (must be 4yrs old by August 31st). The core foundation of this program is to align our students with our kindergarten program. At CCS, we will use the Abeka curriculum daily to help ensure our students are prepared for kindergarten.

During their time in the classroom many skills will be developed.

Social Skills (compassion, self-control, problem-solving)
Creative expression
Gross motor skills (coordination and balance)
Fine motor skills (holding writing supplies, gluing, cutting)
Literacy skills (letter knowledge, book skills, exploration of writing)
Math skills (counting, one-to-one correspondence, sorting)
Science skills (constructing, experimenting, observing)

Special Activities or Events for the Classroom:

We love any excuse to throw a party! We will have all sorts of fun events including Chapel every Wednesday, music enrichment, art inside the classroom, as well as Teddy Bear Picnic, Pumpkin Patch field trip, Thankful Feast, and the Q & U Wedding.
