About Cornerstone Christian School
Who is Cornerstone Christian and why consider a Christ-centered education with us?
Those of us whom God has blessed with children know what an awesome, humbling, frustrating, rewarding, and life-changing calling parenthood is. He has entrusted to us the stewardship of precious souls created in His image. How to be a faithful steward in training up those souls in the way they should go is not always readily apparent, and will not necessarily look the same for each family- or even for each child within the same family. This is true in many aspects of raising our kids-not the least of which is how we decide to educate them. In offering these reasons to consider a Christ-centered education, I have no desire to judge or attempt to dictate what anyone should or should not do in the stewardship of their children's education. As Paul wrote in Romans 14:4; we each stand or fall to our own master-Christ. I am merely offering for your consideration some of the more important principles that guided my wife and me as we prayed and considered how the Lord would have us educate our six children.

What Makes Cornerstone Unique?
All of the above is certainly relevant in considering Cornerstone Christian School as an option for your family. There is, however, one more factor to consider-at least with respect to the Cornerstone Christian High School. We offer the year-long "Understanding the Times" curriculum developed by Summit Ministries. The course helps students clearly understand the tenets of the Christian worldview and how they compare and contrast with other leading worldviews of today--Islam, Postmodernism, Secular Humanism, Marxism, and New Age Spirituality-in the disciplines of theology, philosophy, ethics, biology, psychology, sociology, law, politics, economics, and history. Along the way, students consider a number of relevant topics through the lens of each of these six worldviews; topics such as the origin and nature of mankind, evidence and arguments for the existence of God, abortion, euthanasia, radical environmentalism, radical feminism, biotechnology, the arts, cults, the problem of evil, religious pluralism, scriptural reliability, and more.
The objective of this important course is primarily twofold. The first is defensive: to help protect Christian young men and women from being deceived by anti-Christian worldviews. The second objective is offensive: to train Christian leaders who can intelligently, winsomely, and actively champion the truth of Christianity in a culture saturated with relativism, paganism, hedonism, and confusion. This class is an effective tool in training up young ambassadors for Christ.
It is our hope at Cornerstone that the above is helpful as you consider how the Lord would have you manage the education of your children.
