About the Teacher

Mrs. Nelson

I spent ten years teaching high school English at The Bear Creek School and the past three years teaching middle school writing at a homeschool co-op. I am passionate about equipping students to think critically, communicate clearly, and live redemptively in a fallen world. Our family recently moved from Seattle to Olympia, and we are excited to explore our new hometown. My husband and I have three daughters who are joining the Cornerstone community this fall. We love spending time in God’s creation—especially on the water—and enjoy paddleboarding and swimming whenever we can.
