Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will strongly commit to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting students' academic and social development in alignment with a Biblical worldview. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, utilizing various teaching methods, and ensuring each child receives the support they need to thrive in their educational journey.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.

  • Educate students in core subjects, including Math, Literacy, Science, History, and the Bible.

  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful environment conducive to learning.

  • Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.

  • Foster relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development and address any concerns.

  • Utilize knowledge of childhood development to tailor instruction to meet individual needs.

  • Stay updated on educational trends and best practices in education administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field. WA state certification is preferred but not required.

  • 2 years of experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required.

  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively.

  • Proficiency in Math and Literacy education.

  • Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance classroom instruction.

  • Excellent proofreading skills for preparing instructional materials and assessments.

  • Understanding of childhood development principles to support diverse learners.

  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, and staff.

  • Active in a local church
